Chester Chess Open Congress is a five round swiss tournament spread over two days, usually the last weekend in June each year.
ECF, NMS, WCU, SCU members and members of other national and inernational organisations receive a discount on the entry fee. Please ensure that your membership is up to date. (Submitting your grading code is insufficient evidence of up to date membership).
We are having again an Open section with no upper or lower grading limit.
We have decided to continue the scheme whereby juniors may elect to pay half price for half the prize. This is to encourage more juniors to participate in competitive chess.
The tournament is part of the ECF Grand Prix
