POSTAL & PRINTING COSTS
The 2009 Chester Congress had 128 contestants, which was an increase of 10% over 2008 figures and continues a pleasing upward trend from 2007.
To achieve this we spent £129 on 2nd class postage and £147 on 1500 entry forms, of which only about 5% were completed and returned. (Some of the entry forms received by us originated from internet sources).
The cost of 2nd class post is getting beyond a joke and no doubt will get higher next year . It has occured to us that we could save a lot of funds by using the internet more for distributing entry forms.
However we do not know any contestsants' email addresses. If you would like to receive an entry form in this way for 2010 and do not mind a bit of "self inflicted spam" from us alone, please use the "Contact Us" page to let us know your email address. It will not be passed to any other parties under any circumstances.
