Caergwrle Chess Club has today, 09/09/09, changed its venue from the Derby Arms in Caergwrle, to the Penyffordd and Penymynydd British Legion Club in Penyffordd Flintshire for "operational reasons".
The new accommodation in the main function room is superb spacious, warm, well lit, and odourless.
Chess club membership fees are under review but likely to be reduced.

Membership of the British Legion Club is optional and not expensive.
New and improving chess players welcome - Wednesdays at 7pm-ish.
The Chess club is in the Wirral League and the Chester and North Wales League and boasts 4 league teams of various playing strengths in which you could be asked to play if you wish. The NCU request an annual subscription of £10 - (2009 price) - from players who wish to play in league matches. This is to ensure that players can be officially graded.
